A new reality of wine

Innovation or tradition?

We have chosen a side.

We have not produced wine for generations; we are the first in the family to do so.
That’s why we always look to the future and aim for the Moon.

The wines of the future

We love to experiment; to look for new perspectives. We imagine a wine in its colours, in its scents, in its truest tastes. Then, we transform it into a spatial experience. From the earth to the Moon.

Barbera d’Asti DOCG

Nove Filari

We see Barbera d’Asti DOCG as a wine, but also as a great project. An evolution that begins from Mappale 61, the authentic version, becomes more structured in Mappale 41 and culminates with Nove Filari, our bright star.

A wine that carries with itself Cantina Riboli’s philosophy: to look at tradition, break its rules and innovate it. Starting from the earth to conquer a new space. We want to revalue Barbera d’Asti DOCG as an aging wine.

Our research

It starts from here

From this country house with six hectares of land purchased at the beginning of 2000. The vineyard includes one hectare of Moscato d’Asti and nine rows of Barbera.

The farmed land was a hobby/pastime; the harvest was a game. A convivial moment with the family, to deliver that little grape to a large winery in the area.

From the Earth…

It has continued over the years, in books, among thousands of uncorked bottles.
In 2009 we harvested and vinified the first Barbera grapes, putting into practice curiosity, infinite passion and as many hours of self-taught study.

Mappale 61 was born in 2013, our first Barbera d’Asti DOCG.

To the Moon!

It continues with the help of a professional winemaker and the planting of new rows.
Faster ideas and fresh, precise, young, sparkling wines. Just like us.

It never stops.
We always look to the future: Cantina Riboli will soon become the first Piedmontese winery with virtual reality, to make wine a total and immersive experience.
