Technical Information

ORIGIN: one of the first wines produced by Cantina Riboli. The name “Mappale Sessantuno! comes from the map marked on the land registry.
PRODUCTION AREA: hills of Sessame, DOCG area of Barbera d’Asti
TYPE OF SOIL: calcareous and clayey
VARIETY: 100% Barbera
BREEDING SYSTEM: guyot
AVERAGE AGE OF VINES: 9 years
HARVEST PERIOD: end of September/first half of October
VINIFICATION: traditional vinification; maceration on the skins for about 10 days with a controlled temperature between 18-22°, in order to give the wine a harmonious and complex bouquet. Subsequently, the wine has a period of refinement in 300lt tonneaux of different periods and toasting.

ALCOHOL: 13,5% Vol.
ORGANOLEPTIC EXAMINATION: ruby red color of good intensity. Fresh and balanced taste, bouquet of not too ripe red fruits on the nose.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 14/15°
FOOD PAIRINGS: perfect in combination with a yellow risotto.
